Each Master Partner has its own physical database (in the same or different database servers) and so its data is isolated from the other Master Partners’ data. A Master Partner can only access other Master Partner’s data through the community collaborations mechanism. In this case the Master Partner that wants to share the community entity (Customer or business asset) with other Master Partners, makes an explicit assignment. At any time that Master Partner can cancel the assignment and instantly revoke the access right to his data of any other Master Partner.
To promote and facilitate a Master Partner’s conformance to the Data Protection Act, CRM.COM Software keeps extensive information on each Contact and Customer authorisations. Contacts may specify if they wish to be contacted during campaigns and whether they wish their details to be passed to other collaborating Master Partners or not. In the latter case the contact’s data cannot be shared with other Master Partners.
